Organic Farm - Sustainable & Resilient Greenhouses
Life Farms is the largest organic farm in Pinellas County. The farm has been in operation since 2012.
The farm lost all six of its greenhouses in Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024. The farm is “building-back-better” by constructing greenhouses that will withstand future hurricanes.
Attendees will receive a guided tour of the farm and learn about the positive environmental and health impact of locally grown food and the Life Farms resilient green house building project. The registration fee is $20 of which $15 will be donated to Life Farms for the sustainable greenhouse construction.
This is the first event of the newly established CREW Tampa Bay Sustainability Committee. CREW family and friends are welcome (kids are welcome too!). Beverages and snacks, including fresh farm produce, will be served.
Life Farms is a working farm with uneven ground and equipment, please wear closed-toed shoes that you can easily walk in.
