Kristin Mora

TECO Energy, Inc.

As the daughter of a building official, Kristin’s experience in the development industry started in her formative years on construction sites and in county commission chambers. After studying planning, she joined the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission and then Hillsborough County as a community planner. In 2004, she switched to the private sector, joining Bricklemyer, Smolker & Bolves P.A. as a paralegal, and later as an attorney after completing law school. Kristin interned at the Florida Supreme Court in 2008, joined Petitt Worrell Rocha PLLC as of Counsel in 2014, then joined the City of Tampa City Attorney’s Office in 2016 before joining TECO in 2019.

Drawing upon more than 20 years of experience in property, land use, and construction, Kristin refers to herself fondly as a “dirt lawyer.” Today she uses that experience as Senior Corporate Counsel to Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas where she specializes in property law, including securing the land rights for energy infrastructure, energy land use, and real estate transactions.
